Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on Femute, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these terms at any time; continued use of Femute after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
Femute is a women-only platform. You must be 18 years or older to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you identify as a woman. We reserve the right to verify your identity and terminate accounts that do not meet our eligibility requirements.
3. Account Verification
All accounts require identity verification before full access is granted. You must submit a valid, government-issued ID. False submissions will result in immediate and permanent account termination. Verification documents are reviewed by our trust & safety team and are not shared with other members.
4. Matching Fee
When both members of a match agree to connect, each pays a one-time, non-refundable $49 matching fee. This fee is charged per match and covers the cost of the platform. Femute does not guarantee that any commute buddy relationship will result from a match.
5. Payments & Refunds
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. The $49 matching fee is non-refundable once both parties have paid and the match is complete. If a technical error prevents match completion after payment, contact us at femuteadmin@gmail.com within 7 days.
6. Community Standards
You agree to treat all members with respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats, or any form of abusive behavior will result in immediate account suspension. Femute reserves the right to remove any member for conduct that violates our community standards.
7. Privacy
Your use of Femute is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.
8. Limitation of Liability
Femute is a platform for connecting commuters. We do not vet members beyond identity verification and are not responsible for the conduct of members during or after any commute. You use this platform and meet other members at your own risk. Femute's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the matching fee.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
